Deep in the Caribbean...

I have been late very much in deciding to hanging it because I am never consent to the result: Up to the date it is the drawing that more I have worked, both in details and in the prominent figures. Now I am afraid of not managing to improve the result, and this one is the only really nice drawing of my gallery XDDD.

It is possible that it does not appreciate well, but I try to Loved every detail at the moment of coloring: the Spanish doubloons, the jewels, the skulls of the dead men, the red coat, the boots (that have thin lines to imitate the texture of the leather) the throne and the feather of the dead parrot.... I wait that you veais since I have Loved this evil captain.

The drawing was based on the monkey island, though two characters are my inventions: The Mermaid and the parrot.

Always I have thought that in the Monkey Island there is a special lack of "evil" feminine figures, Elaine does not have her antithesis. I love specially the design of the dead mermaid, affectionatly I call Thalia (as the Mexican singer XD, what's up? I like her voice). Some time ago I hung the first design of she, and though she was not very popular, little by little she has become more known (already, she has many favorites). I was not sure with Thalia's colors, but in this drawing, I believe that I have met on the appropriate colors and she seems to be really beautiful.

En lo profundo del caribe....

He tardado mucho en decidir a colgarlo porque nunca estoy conforme con el resultado: Hasta la fecha es el dibujo que más me gusta y a la par él que más he trabajado, tanto en detalles como en los personajes. Ahora tengo miedo de no lograr mejorar el resultado, y este sea el único dibujo realmente bonito de mi galería XDDD.

Puede que no se aprecie bien, pero intente mimar cada detalle, a la hora de colorear: las moneditas del gran tesoro, las joyas, los cráneos de los muertos, la casaca roja, las botas (que tienen finas líneas para imitar la textura del cuero) el trono hasta las plumas de la cotorra fallecida.... Espero que se vea como he mimado a este malvado capitán. Eso si, disfrutar he disfrutado de lo lindo con él. Que puedo decir, yo siempre he amado a los malvados, siempre me ha parecido más interesante la nemesis del heroe que el propio heroe XD

El dibujo esta basado en el Monkey Island, aunque algunos personajes son invenciones mías: El loro y la sirena. Ellas nacieron para un modulo de juego de rol basado en el famoso videojuego, que un dia se me ocurrio y quise escribir para divertirme. Siempre me ha parecido que en el Monkey hay una falta especial de personajes femeninos malvados, Elaine ni Carla nunca han tenido su antitesis.

Amo especialmente el diseño de la sirena muerta, a la que cariñosamente yo llamo Thalia (como la cantante mexicana XD, ¿Qué pasa? Me gusta su voz). Hace tiempo colgué el primer diseño de ella, y aunque no fue muy popular, poco a poco se ha vuelto más conocida (ya tiene muchos favoritos). No estaba del todo convencida con los colores de Thalia, pero en este dibujo creo que he dado con los apropiados y ahora esta realmente hermosa

El barco fantasma esta basado en un barco verdadero. Seguramente vereis su imagen en algun lugar.

Espero que os guste. Y si no... pues a caminar por la tabla! XDD
